Weekend Reading With Eden: The Thrilling 2022 Edition

Hi friends!

It’s been a minute, hasn’t it?! (Side note: I know it says this was posted by Brianna, but it’s actually me, Eden. Brianna will be back soon, don’t worry 😋). I hope you all had a restful holiday season—with lots of time to snuggle under a cozy blanket with your next fave read. No matter where this message finds you, chances are it’s at least a little bit colder than it was last month. If you’re like me, you’re currently buried under a foot of snow.

Here at Weekend Reading with Eden, colder weather has me reaching for all the thrillers on my TBR. I want storylines I’ll never see coming, unreliable narrators, locked-room mysteries, and stories of marriages gone bad… or not?

There are a lot of thrillers out there, so I’ve curated a list of the thrillers I’m reading this January, in the hopes that you’ll find at least one that piques your interest… but I’m guessing they all will!

Before She Was Found by Heather Gudenkauf

A chilling crime shakes up a quiet Iowa town. You won’t be able to look away. Once you’ve devoured this one (trust me, you will), check out Heather’s latest, The Overnight Guest, a chilling locked-room mystery about a true crime writer who is trapped in a secluded farmhouse during a snowstorm.

The Third to Die by Allison Brennan

The clock is ticking. Will they beat it? This is the first in Brennan’s Quinn & Costa series and features a female police detective and an FBI agent on the hunt for a prolific serial killer before they have the chance to strike again.

Beautiful Bad by Annie Ward

A globe-trotting thriller with a dark twist! AND! It comes in a convenient mass market format if you’re planning on taking it on an upcoming ski (let’s be serious, it’s mostly apres-ski!) trip.

Woman Last Seen by Adele Parks

My top thriller TBR of Feb ‘22! You’ll find this one in stores (or wherever you get your books) on February first.

Snow by John Banville

If you’re looking for more in the Agatha Christie vein… look no further! Bonus points if you’re in a wintery climate and like matching your read to the weather.

Leave a comment at the bottom of the post to let me know which thriller you’re reading, or a favorite recent read!

Happy Reading,

Eden (still not Brianna)
