In honor of Black History Month, we wanted to share with you some of our favorite reads by Black authors that we’ve read recently. Tackling prejudice, dealing with insecurities, solving crimes, and falling in love are just some of the themes in these 11 powerful books. No matter the genre, we’re sure you’ll find a book that’ll become one of your five-star reads this year!

Is this really a Black History month list? While there are some great book choices on this list I don’t think this is really an adequate list for Black History Month.
